This week's podcast is focused on restaurant chains in the UK. Here's all the key vocab you should know before watching!

Level 1 - key words
Casual - not too serious
Out of my comfort zone - something that is new or difficult
Inauthentic - not authentic
Posh (slang) - fancy
Fancy - expensive, smart, beautiful
Open-plan - when a room is wide with no walls separating the different parts
Enclosed - when a space has walls and is separated from the outside
Bottomless drinks - unlimited refills
Level 2 - general vocabulary
Changeover - a layover, when you change trains
Hearty (food) - often warm, comforting and filling food
Substantial - large
Filling (food) - food that makes you feel full
Max. - short for maximum
Upscale (restaurant) - expensive, popular, posh
Get your moneys worth - making the most of the money you are spending
Ominous - creepy, weird, off-putting
To have a monopoly on something - when a company owns the majority of an industry's top businesses
Level 3 - more complex words and phrases
Amalgamation - combination, mixing together of different things
Untapped market - a market that has not been explored but has good potential for growth
Ordeal - something that takes a lot of trouble or effort (negative)
Off-putting - when something puts you off, i.e. makes you not like it
Jarring - overwhelming, attention-grabbing (negative)
Cheeky (slang) - when about an activity means self-indulgent, exciting and a bit naughty
Garish - visually unpleasant, too much
You'd be hard-pressed to find...- difficult to find
What it says on the tin - when something is what it says it is
Out of my depth - not able or skilled enough to do something
Susceptible - prone to, vulnerable to
